Meet Joseph Brown!
Joe “Iceman” Brown #88
The great sport of paintball is has been part of my life is short spurts until 2007. Growing up a military brat, my first opportunity to play presented itself to me in1991 in Honolulu, Hawaii. My father would bring my brother and I along on morale days scheduled by the Coast Guard base where he was stationed. I was hooked after spending a day playing in the tropical forest. The staff was welcoming and the participants were very focused on sportsmanship. In 1994, retirement relocated my family to Melbourne, Florida. A youth group I belonged to made regular trips to various paintball fields for team building exercises. This gave us the opportunity to make memories we still share amongst the group when we see each other from time to time. 2000-2007 was a period without my favorite sport. Attending college and starting a new career was very time consuming. In 2007, a career change provided a new opportunity to play. A co-worked invited me out to a local field and that is where I still play today. Hog Wild is my home field and team! The team took me under their wing and helped develop my skill and love for the paintball community. We really believe in growing the sport by involving our friends and family as well as helping new players feel welcome. The challenge the team provided week after week and the hospitality of the owner kept me coming back. On and off the field, these guys and girls are good people, and good friends. Any opportunity to play is a good one. I enjoy experiencing all types of paintball and playing on new fields. Scenario play has become my favorite style of play. I enjoy meeting lots of amazing people, playing alongside great teams, and learning from them all.
